Using WebDAV folders with DocuShare



To send a file to a Web server that uses Web Folders

Open My Network Places.

Under Network Tasks, click Add a network place.

In the Add Network Place Wizard, follow the instructions to add a shortcut to a Web site that supports Web Folders.

When you have successfully added the shortcut, an icon for your new shortcut will appear in the My Network Places folder.



Under Other Places, click My Documents.

Click the file or folder that you want to copy to the Web server.

Under File and Folder Tasks, click Copy this file or Copy this folder.

In the Copy Items dialog box, click the My Network Places folder, click the shortcut folder that you want, and then click Copy.

The file or folder you copy might inherit permissions from the Web server it is copied to. This might make it available to users who have access to the Web server.



Notes



To open My Network Places, double-click the My Network Places icon on your desktop.

The Web server that hosts the document or folder that you want to access must support the Web Folders protocol (WebDAV) and Internet Information Services (IIS), or the Web Extender Client (WEC) protocol and FrontPage extensions. You must also have read and write access to the Web server. If you are on a network, contact your network administrator for information about available Web servers and how to access them.
